How to Update Sony Drivers by Myself?
There are a number of typical alerts and other messages which you may get in the driver updating process, a number of which I've paraphrased and listed here along with advice on what to do:
QUESTION: My Vaio Duo Ultrabook (SVD13225PXW) has gone right into a login loop. It is apparently looking for a file that has either been damaged or eliminated missing. Certainly, I can't shut it down with normal processes and the "assist" button does not interrupt the cycle. Is there any way to shut this down without having just letting the battery run out?
When it is shut down, I might be able to reboot and troubleshoot.
ANSWER:
- Power reset the computer. Using a safety pin, push and hold the hole for 5 seconds.
- Reset BIOS.
- Test the computer in Safe Mode.
- Restore the computer to the last known good configuration.
I really hope this helps.
How to Update Drivers with Device Manager?
1. Open Control Panel
Note: If you don't see these options, your Control Panel view may be set to Large icons, Small icons, or Classic View, depending on your version of Windows. If so, find and choose Device Manager from the big collection of icons you see and then skip to Step 3 below.
2. Open Device Manager
From the open Control Panel window, click System, choose the Hardware tab, and then click the Device Manager button.
3. In Device Manager, you can check for updates, update your drivers or troubleshoot driver problems
To set Windows to install recommended updates
To automatically get available driver updates for your hardware, set Windows to install recommended updates. You can set Windows to automatically install important and recommended updates or important updates only. Optional updates aren't downloaded or installed automatically. To get all available updates for your devices, periodically check Windows Update for optional updates.
- Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
- In the left pane, click Change settings.
- Under Important updates, click an item in the list. You can decide which updates to automatically download and install.
- Under Recommended updates, select the Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates check box, and then click OK. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. You can also allow anyone using your computer to install updates by selecting the Allow all users to install updates on this computer check box.
